As a company that wholeheartedly committed to put safety first, KPA firmly believes that any working incident is preventable. We have been applied Safety Management Program (PSM) that focus on all items stated on OSHA Standard 29 CFR 1910.119. Secondly, the health and safety of employees and contractors can never be compromised in achieving production targets. KPA’s commitment in work safety was proofed by receiving three years consecutive Zero Accident Award from the Indonesian government since 2004.

KPA knows that safety is in line with management’s responsibilities. Thus, any kind of violation, incident, and safety threat in the working environment must be immediately reported, and Management is fully committed in correcting it immediately. In order to minimize violations and incidents in the work place, employees and contractors are subject to follow the standard training that we called safety induction, periodical refreshing and up grading training and shall apply it on the working places. We also conduct internal safety audit every month.

KPA is fully aware that its activities involve products and waste that can affect the environment. Through the environmental policy that KPA strongly holds, it is committed to conduct its operations and activities in full compliance with all applicable environmental, health and safety laws, regulations aand permits, do all necessary prevention to the threat of environmental pollution, and perform continuous improvement regarding the application of clean technology in order to comply with the national and international standards. Conservation and natural resources preservation are also parts of the company’s responsibility to the environment.

Since established, KPA has putted work safety as a first priority in every aspect of business operation. Many kind of efforts have been done to avoid a work accident. KPA has achieved 3,876,752 man hours or 2,291 days without loss time accident as of October 2007.
A strong commitment to applied work safety in every aspect getting a huge result. KPA’s commitment in work safety was proofed by receiving three years consecutive Zero Accident Award from the Indonesian Government since 2004.

Since 2006, KPA received twice award as a “Green Proper” company in the environment management improvement program, conducted by the East Kalimantan Province government.
